Yay for the Spurs.

For some reason I was expecting 4 bulls teams to make the top 4 after the first round.

Their two best players, Duncan and Parker, perfectly exploit the '93 Bulls' weaknesses. Paxson couldn't guard anyone faster than Chris Duhon, and the inside game was shaky at best. Add to that Bowen doing as well as anyone can on Jordan and the fact that Robert Horry was on the Spurs, and it doesn't seem like so much of an upset. The only thing I'm surprised about is why the '86 Celtics didn't go farther.

GOAT. Even in a simulation, it's rather weird seeing results turn out like this.

Thanks for the simulation Neil, I actually planned to do this on the MixMakers forums a while ago but never got around to it. It was fun reading the boxscores and imagining each scenario, as crazy as some of the results were.

And for carrying it out to the conclusion, even after it became clear that WIS might have no idea what it's talking about.

*Disclaimer: Fruit basket only exists in the imaginary WhatIfSports world.

94 - 89 Chicago home
101 - 103 San Antonio away
103 - 95 Chicago away
97 - 85 Chicago away
90 - 109 San Antonio home
108 - 88 Chicago home

Looks like the game found '93 Chicago to be better than '96 Chicago, '05 San Antonio to be better than '93 Chicago, and '96 Chicago to better than '05 San Antonio. Rock - Paper - Scissors style.
