I would like to see one on another controversial player-- Spencer Haywood.

Maybe not Hall worthy but always thought Gus Williams and Freddie Brown were overlooked while Dennis Johnson got all the attention. Imagine if Freddie had the 3-point line for his whole career.
Does anybody have "metrics" on The Wizard and Downtown?

Check the stats. His battles against debusschere were classic.

Tim Bug was quick, strong for his size, and he had the cojones to get right up in your face and basically dare you to drive on him -- he was way better than a Steve Nash in that regard. But the standard defensively is always going to be those contemporaries, some of the best defensive PGs of all time.

Those GS teams had no bigs to speak of and couldn't rebound. No amount of perimeter defense was going to help. Timbug had size issues, but he could stick in a guy's jersey without fouling because he had crazy quick feet and excellent balance. He was strong for his size too. Something about Deron Williams reminds me of Hardaway. Maybe the constant sense of control with the dribble.
