Player Season Finder Additions
Posted by Justin Kubatko on December 15, 2010
Yesterday I made some additions to the Player Season Finder, so let me briefly describe them here:
- Tooltips were added below the seasons section for the last three seasons, making it easier to restrict your search to a recent season.
- Birth country was added as a parameter, so you can now search for players born (or not born) in a particular country.
- Single season searches can now be restricted to players who qualified for the Minutes Per Game leaderboard.
- Games started was added to the statistics list in the additional criteria.
- A fifth option was added to the additional criteria section, allowing you to compare two statistics. For example, you can search for players with an assist-to-turnover ratio of at least 5:1 (minimum 100 assists).

Uh, this is awesome. The "current season" button is something I always wondered why it wasn't there to begin with, but having all 3 years is gravy. I can't wait to play with the multiplier options.
THANKS!

Excellent! That 5:1 assist-to-turnover example really highlights Muggsy Bogues. That 92-93 Charlotte Hornets (44W-38L) was exciting on paper; averaging 110 PPG, they won 13 more games than they had the previous season, all with a solid, young core:
G - Muggsy (28) was in his 6th season.
G - Kendall Gill (24) was in his 3rd season.
F - Larry Johnson (23) was in his 2nd season.
C - Alonzo Mourning (age 22) was a rookie.
...28-year-old Dell Curry was first off the bench
How is it they took a step back in 93-94 (41W-41L)? They must have expected a far greater contribution from Hersey Hawkins.
A lot to be excited about, though. It's a shame they didn't last in Charlotte.
ANYWAY -- stellar additions! Thank you!!
