Matt Scribbins has an interesting piece today at Hoopdata, regarding the trade histories of some really important players in these playoffs. Many trades involving the picks that eventually became superstars took place years before the player even set foot on NBA hardwood.

The Hoopdata blog has been a great addition to the body of nba-obsessed writing. This year has seen a lot of new blogs and projects launched, and a metric ton of writing from the most prolific guys (Z. Lowe, R. Mahoney, etc).
The Jeff Fogle et al blog at Hoopdata is probably my favorite.
