Posted by Justin Kubatko on February 2, 2011

This is just a short announcement to let you know that pages for NBA Players of the Month and Rookies of the Month have been added to the Awards and Honors section of the site. These awards have also been added to the leaderboards table on each player's page.

Just glancing over the Players of the Month list. A lot of big names, of course. Jamaal Magloire's name stuck out, however.

Yes, his name does stick out. That was the last month of the regular season, so it was a short month in terms of games played. Magloire had a double-double in six of his seven games and averaged 21.7 points and 12.1 rebounds per game for the month.

  3. Sean Says:

This is a nice addition. However, like the NFL's MVP, Players of the Month has existed in one form or another for most of the league's history, actually, not just the officially acknowledged stuff since 1979-80.

  4. Jared Ras Says:

Great addition, especially if this is the official award in its entirety.

  5. Paul Alexander Says:

It's pretty amazing to think that LeBron and Dwyane Wade have won 12 out of the last 14 player of the months.

  6. Max Says:

This list shows just how pitiful the 03-04 Eastern Conference was: Baron Davis, Jermaine O'Neal, Michael Redd, Kenyon Martin, Lamar Odom and Jamaal Magloire. That's pathetic

Sorry to be off topic but what happened to the Similarity Scores on player profiles?
