Over the weekend, I was invited to participate in NBA.com's Blogger Q&A with TNT analyst/2-time NBA champion Kenny "The Jet" Smith, so I asked him a question about the format of the Finals and how it felt to have home-court advantage (and disadvantage) in the NBA Finals. One of the things we pride ourselves on at Sports-Reference is that we respond to every e-mail and comment that users send us. Justin has done that for BBR since he started the site in April of 2004, and I do that now in my capacity as User Affairs Coordinator. Unfortunately, we just discovered that our technology has been letting us down for the past few months. When investigating a separate feedback problem at Baseball-Reference, Sean discovered another 150 or so messages stuck in our spam filter, many of which were related to Basketball-Reference. Those were just from the past month, so it appears we've been losing a lot of legitimate messages to our spam filter for at least five or six months. The annual McDonald's High School All-American Game is tonight, so just a quick reminder that you can find the boys' team rosters from this year (and every year since the 1st McDonald's game in 1977) here at Basketball-Reference, under the Awards section of the site. Congrats to all the selections, and good luck to them in the next stage of their hoops careers.

I am pleased to announce the launch of College Basketball at Sports-Reference.com, the latest addition to the Sports Reference family of web sites. We have had plans to launch a college basketball site for quite some time, but for one reason or another we always ran into roadblocks, most of them data-related. However, thanks to the efforts of researcher extraordinaire Kevin Johnson, we now have a college basketball database that we believe to be second-to-none. Let me tell you a little bit about what the site does (and doesn't) have:

Just a note that on Friday (probably starting around 9am ET), we'll be switching to a new, more powerful server that should increase site performance and reliability.
