Strengths:
If the New Jersey Nets are going to want to beat teams, it is going to be on the inside on the offensive end. The New Jersey Nets have two above average offensive players in Brook Lopez and Troy Murphy, and maybe more importantly, they complement each other perfectly. Brook Lopez has a fantastic post game and he can face you up (from inside 10 feet) or he can back you down and hit you with a old school move. Troy Murphy is more of a shooter who can play the high post and keep doubles away from Brook. After pounding it inside, the Nets can kick it out to guys who can knock down threes, like Anthony Morrow and Travis Outlaw on the perimeter.
Weaknesses:
The Nets are really going to struggle on the defensive end. Out of their projected starting lineup (Harris, Morrow/T-Will, Outlaw, Murphy, and Lopez), there is only one competent defender amongst the group. Harris and Morrow were terrible defenders last year, and Troy Murphy and Brook Lopez might be the slowest PF/C center in the league. If the team buys into Coach Avery Johnson’s team defense style, they might have a chance. If not, they are going have to outscore people, and that is hard.
