BBR News: 2009-10 Changes and Additions
Posted by Justin Kubatko on October 28, 2009
Assuming all went well, the site should now be updated on a daily basis with the 2009-10 statistics. Along with the daily updates, here are a couple of other changes/additions you should be made aware of:
- The section of the site that was formerly known as Full Court has been renamed the Play Index. Why the name change? Corporate synergy: Baseball-Reference.com and Pro-Football-Reference.com already had similar areas on their sites that were branded with the "Play Index" name, and we wanted to be consistent. Any links you had to the Full Court section should automatically be forwarded to the Play Index. Also note that the link to the Play Index is on the far left hand side of the quick index at the top of the page rather than the far right hand side.
- Each team now has a clubhouse page. These pages will include: a team calendar; a summary of how the team's players have performed over the last ten games; a list of upcoming opponents with win probabilities; divisional standings; team leaders; and more. The clubhouse can be accessed from any of the team's 2009-10 pages (e.g., the team's roster and statistics page) by using the drop-down menu near the top of the page. There will also be a link in the standings (denoted "C") that will lead to the clubhouse pages.
That's all for now. If you notice anything amiss with the current season's statistics, please let us know. Happy 2009-10!

I know it's silly to look at it now, but SRS seems messed up. Cleveland's 0-2, but first in the league in SRS.
Other than that, I've always liked the site and love that it continues to improve.

The Clubhouse feature looks pretty cool. And I had a very different idea of what "play index" meant - I was all excited that you were making a foray into play charting (now wouldn't that be crazy). I think new site users might not get what it means at first, although I suppose "full court" was no clearer.
Keep up the good work, guys.

I happen to be commenting to make you know of the incredible discovery my cousin's princess had viewing yuor web blog. She even learned numerous pieces, including how it is like to possess an ideal coaching style to have other folks just understand some very confusing issues. You truly surpassed visitors' expectations. Thanks for offering these informative, safe, edifying not to mention easy thoughts on this topic to Evelyn.
